Fees

  • 15-minute consultation: Free/no cost

  • Individual Counselling (50 minutes): $165
    - Extended Session (80 minutes): $195

  • Couples & Family Counselling (50 minutes): $175
    - Extended Session (90 minutes): $205

These rates are consistent with the fee guidelines published by the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). The current recommended range for Registered Clinical Counsellors in British Columbia is $155–175 per 50-minute session and $175–260 per 80-minute session.

To remain aligned with the BCACC Fee Guide and the increasing costs of operating a private practice, my fees are reviewed annually. Rather than making larger, less predictable adjustments, session fees may increase by up to $5 each January. Next scheduled fee review: January 2028.

Many extended health benefit plans provide reimbursement for services delivered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). As coverage varies between providers and plans, I encourage you to confirm your individual benefits prior to beginning therapy.

Please note that a 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all appointments.

Community Access

I recognize that counselling is a meaningful investment in your wellbeing. I also believe that access to counselling should not be determined solely by financial circumstances. My fee structure is designed to reflect both the value of professional counselling services and a commitment to making therapy as accessible as possible.

Maintaining a sustainable private practice allows me to continue offering high-quality care while intentionally reserving a limited number of Community Access appointments for individuals and families who may benefit from additional financial support.

My fees reflect not only the time we spend together in session, but also the preparation, record keeping, consultation, continuing education, and professional responsibilities required to provide ethical, evidence-informed care.

Options include:

  • Reduced Fee appointments for clients who would benefit from a modest adjustment to the standard fee.

  • Sliding Scale appointments for clients experiencing significant financial hardship.

Community Access appointments are intentionally limited to ensure they remain sustainable over time. Requests are considered collaboratively, and all Community Access arrangements are reviewed every three months to ensure they continue to reflect a client's circumstances.

Requesting a Community Access appointment will not affect the quality of care you receive. My goal is to make counselling as accessible as possible while ensuring these limited spaces remain available for those who need them.

If you would like to learn more about Community Access or discuss whether it may be a good fit for your circumstances, please reach out. I am happy to answer questions, discuss current availability, and provide information about the request process.

A Shared Commitment

Community Access appointments are built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to making counselling accessible and sustainable.

If you are receiving a Reduced Fee or Sliding Scale appointment, I ask that you:

  • attend counselling consistently whenever possible, as regular attendance supports both your therapeutic progress and the effective use of these limited spaces;

  • adhere to the practice's cancellation policy;

  • let me know if your financial circumstances change before your next scheduled review so we can determine together whether your current fee remains appropriate; and

  • participate in a brief fee review approximately every three months.

These shared commitments help ensure that Community Access appointments remain available to those who need them while supporting the long-term sustainability of the practice.

Student Counselling Services

In addition to my standard services & community access, a supervised student counsellor, offers counselling at a reduced rate as part of their clinical training.

Sessions are available at $60.00 (per 50 minute session) and $80.00 (per 80 minute session), with sliding-scale options offered on a limited basis to support accessibility.

If cost is a concern or a barrier to accessing care, please reach out to explore available options.
